I would like to give people who have helped me get Vaapput, a big THANKS!

The harddrive on my computer have chrashed, and I have lost all my mailcontacts

I am still trying, and learning, how to fish lohi with Vaapput and sometimes I feel lucky

I am very humbel to all the knowledge I have encountered, by some of the vaapput-producers I have been in contact with. I have learned a lot about tuning by Mr. Murto, about different types of Vaapput by Mr. Wilperi, Mr. MM(video) and Vinni Vesa(my bible), the importance of hooks and work of art behind this by Mr. Habanero, the innovative thinking of Mr. JaLi, the willingnessof experimenting and development of Mr. Murto, Mr. Riko, Mr. Kortto, Mr.Onni, Mr. Lepard........and so on.
And I am able to, sometimes , to choose a right one, for the right conditions...but I am still trying to learn how to crack the codes...
I have not got the big one, but I have feelt the power of two really big monsters on the Armas...(Fishing from the banks and not able to follow them on their 200meter run.... ) ...so I now what I am up against.
I know where at 17-18 kg big brown male lohi is the King, and when this one is ready, I will be there with my jewels from Finland - and I bet -this one does not give a damn about a fabricmade wobbler!

If I have anything to report, I will drop a line

No big lohis to report the lat days of fishing, but I had a good time..and the last fish in the ordinary season was a little lohi on a litle Kortto (using a float and a 4-5meter leader..)..in Drammenselva (were the season there last until 3oct., this year)

The season has ended for me now, and I have had a nice one I continue to learn about vaaput-fishing and of a total of 29 salmons 17 were cought on handmade vaaput from you guys - Thank you! This was my second season with serious vaaput-fishing, but I can say that even though I still have mutch to learn - I have had a good time

I finally found a pictureservice that can help me out, and soon I will try to show some pictures from this season. I have fished in Bjøra, Namsen, Gaula and Nidelva
...but some of the pictures can not be published because they are MIME and not jpeg???????????If anyone can tip me on a website for publishing pictures that gives better results than this, I would be grateful (ps. I dont want now register-shit..)

Jepp These are som exiting stuff. I am still trying to learn what to use, where - and are testing very mutch to find my favourits. I have not had enough time Harling (fishing from boat..),only some ten days. But next year I hope to get more and get that kojamo.
..In adittion I have got lohi and trouts on (I will try to remember all..) Murto, Kortto, Habanero, Jiis, SOS, JH, Graavi Arska, Riko, AK, KAP...Next year I`ll have to write a logg, I am getting old and my memory is obviously starting to fail

Well, you are one of the people to blame for this obsessive behaviour . I have not forgotten how you helped me out when I tried to get me a couple of your handmade vaaputs. - Thanks a fu&%¤# lot (says my wife..).
I am still an amateur, but I have been lucky, got some good fishing, have had good people to give me advice..the rest is only hard work I hope sometime to be so half as skilled as some of the people I have learned to know, and I will work very hard to get there. This was my second season doing serious lohi-vaaputfishing (I have fished lohi with other stuff some more years though..), and I am going to get myself some serious boatfishing (Harlingfishing)next year 8) and I am going after the really big kojamo .


By the way I have let half of the fish get back to the river and hopefully meet them later on bigger and bad`er..

i have to agree with samtheman. You are not at the amateur. (not been anymore long time)

Like you did say salmon fishing is hard work and you allways need little bit luck to catch salmon.

I hope you get that KOJAMO.

It is hard to pick one, because conditions have varied and by that favourits. But these are the ones that have given me fish and action this year (the KAP is wrong model but colours are right..).

Thanks to all the nice people who I have had contact with this long winter. Seasonopening is closing fast now and the opening-tackle-box is ready. All wobbler tuned and ready to go.
This year I have openingfishing in three different rivers, so I have not decided were to start...But with some 70 availabel fishingdays in NAMSEN, GAULA and NIDELVA, and a lot of vacation this year - I think there will be a lot of exiting moments. In addition I have been invited to try Harling in ORKLA, and maybe I will try this river to.

Thanks again - good luck to you all... Now I`ll get the last preparation done. In case I get something I will drop a line later in the summer

My daughter had a go at the salmon in GAULA on the beat I rent there, and what a great start on her carrier - 8.9 kilo - Proud father witnessed and nettet the salmon, the rest she did alone..

I read your first messages, long time ago. After that, you are game the professional salmon fisher( maybe you were that earlier). You have great pictures and stories for your fishing. Also you set a fire in me to come fish in Norway.
